Thomas & Ricarda

An Intimate Saskatoon Wedding with Classic Hollywood Style

A Wedding Day That Felt Deeply Personal

Some wedding days are big and loud. This one was intimate, intentional, and overflowing with love. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Thomas & Ricarda weren’t just hosting a wedding. They were creating an experience that mattered deeply to them and to the people they love most. Every decision felt thoughtful. Every moment felt present. They were madly in love in the best way. The kind of love that’s impossible to miss and impossible to fake.

Getting Ready in Saskatoon

Thomas & Ricarda began their day at a quiet Airbnb just off Clarence Avenue in Saskatoon. The morning felt relaxed but full of anticipation. There were small moments everywhere. Final details being adjusted. Quiet laughs. The groom putting the finishing touches on a slideshow he had personally created, even as the groomsmen waited. It wasn’t rushed, but it was purposeful. You could feel how important this day was to them.

A Sentimental Ceremony at Pleasant Point Mennonite Church

The ceremony took place just outside the city at Pleasant Point Mennonite Church. It was a deeply meaningful location, chosen not for aesthetics alone, but for family history and connection.

There was a reverent, emotional tone as Thomas & Ricarda exchanged vows. The kind of ceremony where people weren’t checking the time. They were fully there, sharing the moment with them.

An Intimate Reception at Hearth Restaurant in the Remai Modern

Instead of a traditional ballroom reception, Thomas & Ricarda chose something far more personal. They hosted their celebration inside Hearth Restaurant at the Remai Modern.

With a smaller guest count, the space worked beautifully. It felt warm, elevated, and conversational. One of the few weddings we’ve photographed inside the restaurant, and a perfect example of how intimate gatherings can feel incredibly special.

RSVP Event Design planned the day flawlessly. Every transition felt effortless. The flow worked. The room felt full without being crowded. It was thoughtful planning at its best.

Design, Style, and Atmosphere

The entire day carried a classic Hollywood vibe. From their fashion choices to the custom cocktails, from the champagne sabering to the vintage car, everything felt intentional and elevated without being overdone. Blossoms Florals created arrangements that complemented the space perfectly, adding softness and romance without competing with the architecture. It was refined, stylish, and unmistakably them.

What It Was Like for Us

Because the guest list was small, the day felt personal for everyone in the room, including us. It’s rare, but sometimes you stop feeling like a vendor and start feeling like a guest who happens to be holding a camera. That’s one of the reasons we still love what we do.

We photographed the day and created their keepsake film the way we would want it done for ourselves. Quietly. Intentionally. Focused on the moments that matter long after the day itself passes.

A Wedding That Will Be Remembered

Thomas & Ricarda’s wedding wasn’t about scale. It was about meaning. When the day ended, what remained was exactly what they hoped for: memories, connection, and a story preserved in a way that brings them back every time they revisit it.
