Our wedding portrait booth is $2000. Includes 1 hour of run time, instant 4x6 professional prints, and a gallery of all the digital images uploaded within 24 hours.

You’re not getting a DIY station run by an iPad, mixed with cheesy props. What you are really getting is a professional portrait session by a real photographer which makes all the difference. We use our professional studio lighting to bring an elevated experience that your guests will love and rave about.

After the wedding, we bring that same care to finishing your film. Everything is edited in-house by our team. No outsourcing. No AI. Just thoughtful pacing, intentional storytelling, and a finished film that feels like your day and sounds like it too.

Additional hours are available as an add on for only $1,000. If you add this onto your wedding photography or videography package, we gift an additional hour.

What’s Included

What is the MJ&Co. Portrait Booth?

The Portrait Booth is a studio style portrait experience brought directly into your wedding reception. This is not a traditional photo booth. We create intentional, beautifully lit portraits of your guests using the same approach we use for our studio work. It feels elevated, relaxed, and fun, and the images look incredible.

Is this a traditional photo booth?

No. We do not use props, costumes, or novelty items. The focus is on people and connection, not distractions. We believe great moments do not need props, and we avoid anything that pulls attention away from what matters.

Are the photos color or black and white?

All Portrait Booth images are delivered in black and white. This is a deliberate choice that keeps the images cohesive, elegant, and timeless. They age beautifully alongside your wedding photographs.

Do you offer photo strips, overlays, or branded prints?

No. We do not offer photo strips or add names, dates, logos, or graphics to the prints. The goal is simplicity and sophistication. The prints are designed to feel like real photographs, not souvenirs.

Does the Portrait Booth need to run continuously?

Yes. Once the Portrait Booth starts, the time runs continuously. We do not split coverage into separate blocks. This keeps the experience smooth and ensures a consistent flow for guests.

How many prints are included?

Every portrait captured is printed instantly. Group photos are very common, and guests can request additional copies. This is all included. Guests are welcome to come through multiple times, and lineups are common. If you are doing a guest book, we typically photograph two images per group. One print for the guest book and one for the guest to take home.

Do we get digital images too?

Yes. You receive a full online gallery of all Portrait Booth images within 24 hours. The gallery is downloadable and shareable.

What size are the prints? Are they instant?

All prints are instant 4x6 prints. Guests leave with their photos in hand.

What if guests want extra photos?

Guests are welcome to return as often as they like. If there is a lineup, we focus on capturing a few great portraits per group and invite guests to come back again. This keeps the energy high and the experience moving.

How much space does the Portrait Booth need?

We recommend approximately a 12x12 foot area. We require a minimum 6 foot table and two chairs. Draped tables and fabric covered chairs photograph best, and we recommend having your venue or coordinator provide these so they match your decor.

We also require nearby power on a dedicated breaker. Please do not run the Portrait Booth on the same circuit as the DJ. This avoids interruptions and keeps everything running smoothly.

When do you arrive to set up?

Setup takes approximately 60 minutes. Ideally, we set up before guests enter the space. If a room flip or space limitations require setup while guests are present, we handle it professionally and discreetly. Setup time does not count toward your booked runtime.

When is the best time to run the Portrait Booth?

There are two times we recommend most often.

The first is during cocktail hour and running up to the grand entrance. This works well with one to two hours of coverage and gives guests something to enjoy right away.

The second is immediately following speeches and into the start of the dance. This helps get guests up, moving, and engaged, and we consistently see lineups during this window.

Do we get portraits of ourselves at the Portrait Booth?

Yes, and we strongly recommend it. We suggest couples plan for about ten minutes with us at the Portrait Booth just for the two of them. These often become some of our clients’ favorite images from the entire day.

Many couples also use the Portrait Booth to get photos with friends and family who were not part of the formal portraits. It becomes a natural place to connect and create meaningful images together.
