Join Smith and Sydney for a romantic hike in the Rocky Mountains
Recognize these two? It’s because we’ve photographed them a bajillion times! They were in our most popular video called “The Proposal” where Smith surprised Sydney with a wedding ring. You can watch that vlog here.
These two are super clients. They are our biggest fans, and we are so happy that they trust us to capture their lives. This session is their official engagement session. The mountains are a special place for this couple, and we were able to capture their engagement session the same weekend we photographed and filmed Mowad & Alia’s wedding in Banff.
We (Matt and Crystal) carpooled with these two out to Lake Louise in an attempt to photograph at Moraine Lake. With covid restrictions, it was actually really hard to get into Moraine Lake. There wasn’t a way to pre book a spot, or wait in a line. Our only option was to to drive in a loop past the turn off in hopes they would remove the barricades.
The entire plan was based around Moraine Lake, so the wind was slightly knocked out of our sails when we couldn’t get in the park. What we really needed was a small win. While waiting to get into the park, we decided to walk down to the Bow River. The images we captured there were STUNNING!
We then went back to the vehicle, and tried to get into Moraine Lake one more time. We got SO LUCKY! They let 5 cars in, and we were number 4. We were so thrilled.
We did the 15 kilometre drive from Lake Lousie up to Moraine Lake, and parked. Because of the Covid restrictions, there was almost no one up there! It was like we had the entire place to ourselves. We got what we came for and more. Check it out!
