In-Studio Portrait Sessions
I've been photographing expecting mothers and their families for about 10 years, now. Pregnancy is such a fleeting part of motherhood that I think it's really important to have something to look back on.
That's why we offer portrait sessions. When you're an expecting parent, it's exciting; it's scary. Sometimes you don't want to remember certain moments, but sometimes you do and if you photograph them, then when you look back in a few years, you'll never regret taking them. And we offer in-studio sessions like this one, because we don't want weather (e.g. snow, wind, rain) or time-sensitive occasions (e.g. newborn) to keep you from remembering those special moments.
A maternity session, for example, is so special to me personally, because I don't think most women realize how beautiful they are when they're pregnant and a lot of times they really don't feel great, especially toward the end. But when they come into the studio, and I can show them the back of the camera after I've taken even just a couple shots and see their faces light up, that's so special to me.
