Destination: Hawaii

Crystal and I went on a trip to Hawaii, and it was like a dream come true! 2022 was the year of our 15th wedding anniversary, and to celebrate, I planned a vacation, complete with photo and video shoots, and an intimate vow renewal.

Crystal knew that we were going to Hawaii, but she didn’t know that Chris and Melissa were coming along as the photographer and videographer - just one of a few surprises I had up my sleeve. I figured it was a toss-up between hiring someone local, or bringing along part of the MJ&Co. team, and I settled on the latter because I trust my team and believe in the quality of the content we (they) provide. I really wanted to experience having done for us what we, as a team, do for others on a regular basis.

We did a couple of sessions around the island; we went to Waikiki Beach at first, and then to Waimea Bay a few days later where we also recorded our vow renewal against a backdrop of the setting sun, golden sand, volcanic cliffs and crashing waves. We also all filmed a portion of this behemoth of a vlog, so you’ll really get a feel for what it was like to organize and execute the whole experience.

Crystal means the most to me, and I wanted to make sure this trip was perfect for her, and a great keepsake for us. I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate 15 years of marriage and my love for my wife, and I think that these guys captured something really special for us. It tells our story.
