With MJ&Co., we believe that successful relationships are built by agreeing on and fulfilling mutual expectations. We’re looking forward to having a great relationship with you, so we wanted to let you know what you can expect from us and what we will expect from you.

Getting Ready

The best time for us to start is when you are finishing getting ready. We recommend hair first, and then makeup. We'd like to arrive for the finishing touches. Getting your dress on or capturing you tying a bowtie (for the first time). About 45-60 minutes before you have to leave. Please include the address, venue name, and room number for each of you. We recommend getting ready near one another. (i.e. Same hotel or neighbourhood).

First Look

If you are doing a first look, please provide the estimated time, location details, and if you have any special notes you think we should know.

Ceremony Details

Please include start time, location details (name, street address, and room), approximate length, and if there will be a receiving line.

Wedding party & couple's photography

Please include our start time, wedding party size, and any must have locations, photos, and groupings. We recommend 1.5 hours. If there is significant driving time, please account for this. We have our own set of must have images we do with every couple, but if you have anything that you'd consider a must have, please let us know.

Familiy groupings

Please include our start time and location. Typically we do this after the ceremony near the ceremony location. Please notify us of any sensitive family relationships such as divorces, re marriages, or deaths so we can make sure we don't offend, or make anyone feel un important or uncomfortable. You are welcome to add additional requests in the family section. The suggested groupings are open to change. These suggestions take approximately 20-30 minutes depending on family size and adding groupings will ad 2-5 minutes each. Please provide a designated "Wrangler" to help us make sure we don't miss a shot by making them responsible for having everyone available. Recommended Groupings for each side: - Couple with immediate family (includes in-laws) - Couple with siblings (includes in-laws) - Couple with mom and dad - Bride/Groom with mom - Bride/Groom with dad - Couple with grandparent(s)

Reception

We request a spot for each of our team members on your wedding day at your reception dinner. Please avoid placing us at tables with your VIP's. A perfect place for our team is near a side of the room with space for some equipment. Feel free to seat us with other wedding vendors (DJ, wedding planner, etc...). This is our first break of your day to grab a quick bite, and prepare for the reception events. It is helpful if we are able to eat shortly after the you and your VIPs. If for some reason you are unable to host us at your reception dinner, notify us as soon as possible. Please include: - Location (venue name, address, room) - When you would like to arrive at your venue - When is your grand entry (if applicable) - When is dinner service starting - If there is a cake cutting - If there is a bouquet and garter toss - Time of first dances - Any other special events/must have shots you think we should know (e.g. My Ukrainian family is having dancers) Your wedding day coverage includes 8 hours. Sometimes wedding events take longer than originally planned. Please let us know what are the must have moments you know you'd want us to stay overtime for.

What if it rains or the weather is bad? If the weather is awful we have a few options to go with it. If it's going to be rainy, having a set of umbrella's is a good idea. We have some locations in mind that provide shelter, and can often photograph in your venue. Ask your venue if it's ok to photograph on site.

Anything Else?

We've been to hundreds of weddings, and know that planning as much as possible ahead of time is the best way to have a day that you remember and enjoy. If you think we've missed anything, or have questions, put them below.
