We met at the Cranberry Flats for Cal & Keisha’s session. For an engagement photographer, it started out like many sessions. We got out of our cars, chatted a little bit, and just started walking. It’s about a kilometre to get down to the river, with a beautiful boardwalk for part of the way, and one of the prettiest lookouts around.
They are getting married later this year at The Barn at Wind’s Edge. Engagement sessions are such a great way to just get used to being photographed, and have some fun. As we got closer to the river, the weather shifted. The wind picked up, and started blowing us around. For a second I thought it might even ruin the session. I chatted with Keisha, and told her we it was pretty windy, but it looked beautiful. She was good to go, and we just went with it.
“This session was perfect!”
The wind gave a warm haze to the sunset that gave beautiful soft golden light. Being a wedding and engagement photographer in Saskatoon, it doesn’t always go how I plan. For this session, I’m really glad it didn’t. This session was perfect. Cal & Keisha were a blast to photograph, and I am ever more excited for their fall wedding!
