David & Kathlyn have already been featured on our blog for their awesome engagement session. They chose a unique path for their wedding day celebrations. It was clear to us that David & Kathlyn were madly in love. Their ceremony was on a Thursday with about 20 guests in total including their bridesmaids and groomsmen. It was neat for us to see a different approach to a wedding celebration.

The girls got their hair and makeup done in The James Hotel, before heading out to their ceremony site near Laird, SK. The ceremony took place near a valley on the groom’s family farm land. We had to drive about half a kilometre through a beautiful wheat field where David and his groomsmen setup a tent, and decorations for the ceremony and cocktails afterwards. It was what you could expect for an August day. Hot and beautiful.

We ended the evening at Weczeria (now Nosh Eatery & Tap) in Saskatoon. A beautiful and intimate place where they were the only people in the entire restaurant. With this intimate group – there was an informal sharing time. The mic was opened for everyone, and because it was only the closest friends and family, the stories, and memories shared were the best of the best! David & Kathlyn were made for each other, and we know they’ll have a long and lasting marriage!
