This Doesn’t Get Old

I'm not just a photographer. I tell stories. They are good stories. They are real stories. Stories of peoples lives. Stories of peoples most precious moments.

One of those stories stood out to Aseem. I had a phone call with Aseem to photograph him and the love of his life. He told me that he watched our vlog where we photographed and filmed the proposal of a couple. He said that he wanted that of him and his girlfriend. If you know me, you know that I love being part of those kinds of milestones. So of course I agreed.

I chatted with Aseem, and worked out all the details of how we'd keep it a secret, and we made our secret cue of when he was supposed to do it. So he came a day early to the studio, and I gave him the microphone that he had to hide under his shirt. I showed him how to turn it on, and make sure it was rolling.

Then the day of the shoot, we met them at the front of the Remai Modern. I told Aseem we'd do it on the other side of the river. I told him that when I said, "oops, I need to change my battery" that is when he should do it.

It worked perfectly, and she said yes. We did the proposal in the middle of the session. I knew he'd be nervous the first half, so I wanted to make sure we saved some time for them to be engaged in the photographs.

At the end of their shoot, we walked back to the Alt Hotel where they were staying. Andrea said we should film a vlog, so here it is.

This doesn't get old for me. If I could photograph anything in the world, I'll choose moments like this every time.

Thank you Aseem for having us, and CONGRATULATIONS to you and Brandy on your upcoming wedding!

Sincerely,
Matt from MJ&Co.
