The Promise I Make As A Photographer

I make some pretty bold claims as a photographer. I promise to capture moments so special, you'll cherish them for the rest of your life. It might even sound cheesy. You might ask yourself "How can he promise that?"

I was nervous to say that out loud. I was talking to a friend about what I do, and he asked me what promises I make my clients. I said I didn't really make any promises. He asked "What makes you different than any other photographer then?" What a great question. I had no answer. So I started asking my clients. They all said the same thing. They loved that I captured their life.

I know that is why I do what I do. I don't just photograph some pretty pictures. I go beyond. This session is no different. Jenn & Troy had me come out to their cabin at Emma Lake. We did the photos you'd expect, but I didn't put my camera away. We went out onto the lake for one last ride before the end summer. It wasn't a photo shoot anymore. It was just them being a family.
