Styled Shoot

We haven't been able to photograph as much as normal this past year. So we've made a point of making our own photoshoots happen. We are super proud of this one.

We like to use styled shoots as a way to play with light, and locations that would be realistic for a wedding day. For this shoot we teamed up with some wonderful vendors and a beautiful model to try something we've never done before. We photographed bridal portraits in our studio. We've had a studio for years, but haven't used it on a wedding day. But we thought to ourselves, "Why not?". We couldn't come up with a good reason, and thought we'd try it! After all, it would be a great space on a -30 winter day, and very useful to avoid getting stuck in the rain. We are all about a solid backup plan.

After we wrapped up the studio photographs, we headed out to the Sturdy Stone Building here in downtown Saskatoon. This building wouldn't seem like it'd be a pretty place to photograph you on your day, but it has some strong architectural features, and beautiful tones in the rock that we thought would look stunning.

We are so happy with how this turned out, and more than that, just happy to be able to have fun creating.

Thank you so much to our amazing wedding vendor friends who joined us to make this shoot happen:
